i.Scribe is a basic email client written for several operating systems. It was designed to be simple and elegant without being bloated and slow. To some degree it achieves these goals in the v1 release. The user interface is based loosely on Outlook, which I find to be a good design. However Outlook has several fundamental problems that forced me to stop using it. For starters it took a long time to start, had a huge memory footprint, was difficult to install and uninstall, would hang for 30 seconds or longer during server transactions and shutting down and would generally be unresponsive and slow. And now after using i.Scribe for the last few months during it's development I've well... to be honest been 'spoilt' forever. No longer will I tolerate bloated applications and unreasonable performance! If you feel i.Scribe falls to an unacceptable standard in speed, ease of use and size then I want to know. You as the user are the reason for this program existing, so I'll do my best to see that your happy with it.
